The shield isn't really all that much better. It's a great item if you get 8 in either sword of axe AND 10 in tactics... but I almost never use tactics so this usually just sits in my box.
They're items in the games that were whipped together at the last second. I wouldn't call them sucky, but they also aren't overpowered; overall, I think their current state is very good as a fun addition to the pre-order package. But who knows? We've had 3 updates in the past 3 days, and statistics are some of the easiest things to change in a game... the only difficulty comes at game balance. |
